June 2026 Electricity Rate Advisory

(May 26 to June 25 Billing Cycle)

Dear Valued Customer:

The average electricity rate for the June 2026 billing period increased to ₱8.6218/kWh from ₱7.2392/kWh in the May 2026 billing period, primarily due to the increase in the blended Generation Charge from ₱3.7533/kWh to ₱5.0003/kWh.

The relatively lower Generation Charge in May 2026 was mainly attributable to the implementation of the Special Operating Guidelines (SOG) in the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM), which temporarily moderated market prices during the market suspension associated with geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. Following the lifting of the SOG and the resumption of normal WESM operations, market prices returned to prevailing levels.

As a result, the Generation Charge increased in June 2026, reflecting higher WESM prices due to tighter supply conditions in the Luzon grid and the implementation of the new 15 MW mid-merit power supply agreement with Sual Power Inc. at ₱5.7900/kWh (inclusive of VAT). These factors contributed to the increase in generation costs and overall electricity rates.
