EXPECTED GENERATION RATES FOR MARCH 2021

This is to inform you that with the expiration of Clark Electric Distribution Corporation’s (CEDC) Power Supply Agreements (PSA) with San Miguel Energy Corporation (SMEC) and Strategic Power Development Corporation (SPDC) on 25 December 2020 and the pending approval by the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) of the new PSAs, CEDC is now sourcing its power supply requirements from the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM). As you are aware, CEDC’s generation rates during the first two (2) months of 2021 were relatively lower, which were at P3.1248/kWh and P2.1297/kWh for January and February billing period, respectively due to the lower WESM prices during these periods.

With the several plant outages coupled with the onset of summer months, the WESM price is expected to increase affecting our generation rate for March billing period, covering 26 February 2021 to 25 March 2021. Nevertheless, CEDC ensures its captive customers that exposure to the volatile prices of WESM will be mitigated by the implementation of the PSA with SEM-Calaca Power Corporation (SCPC) as authorized by the ERC on its letter received by CEDC on 03 March 2021.

For your information and guidance.

For any inquiries on the foregoing, please send us an email at customerservice@clarkelectric.ph or contact us at telephone numbers (045) 599-3146.

Thank you.

Customer Bulletin No. 2020-008 09 October  2020

 CUSTOMER ADVISORY

In view of the recent enactment of Republic Act. No. 11494 otherwise known as the “Bayanihan to Recover As One Act” (Bayanihan 2), the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) issues the following directives:

1. Distribution Utilities (DU) are directed NOT to implement any disconnection on account of non-payment of bills until December 31, 2020 for consumers with monthly consumption not higher than twice the ERC approved maximum lifeline consumption level (200 kWh and below)

2. Customers who have the ability to pay are encouraged to settle their bills within the original due date to help manage the cash flow in the energy supply chain and ensure the continuous supply of electricity. The DUs may offer less onerous payment terms to encourage early payment.

Furthermore, we also encourage our customers to settle their electric bills via BDO and Union Bank online bills payment facilities.

For any inquiries, please send us an email at customerservice@clarkelectric.ph or contact us at telephone numbers (045) 599-3146/599-7091.
